Documents and Data Thread

Postby bob_dugan » Mon Dec 27, 2010 12:53 pm

Folks,

I'd like to start collecting useful documents and data related to PS boats.

Stuff that you wouldn't find in the manuals that you get from Pacific Seacraft.

For example, the documentation that came with Emerald included a fax of a polar graph for the PS34 scheel keel, and graph of fuel gauge readings to gallons in the fuel tank for the PS34 scheel keel. I'm posting those now.

If you have some documents and data like this, please post it in this thread!

PSC 37 Fuel Tank / Fuel Level

Postby arisatx » Tue Dec 28, 2010 7:44 pm

Good idea. Here is a diagram I found of a PSC37 Deep Keel. We had a Scheel keel, but it's the same basic shape. Obviously tough to estimate fuel volume without calibrating it.

Here's our calibration table:

A fellow PSC37 Owner lent me this rigging guide - which wasn't in my owner's manual:

PSC34 Blocking Height for Rudder Removal

Postby DaveMancini » Sun Feb 13, 2011 11:02 pm

Assuming you have wheel steering. Have the yard block your boat with 13 inches between the bottom of the keel and the ground and you can pull your rudder without having to dig a hole or pay the yard to re-lift and re-block your boat.
